Humanitarian Aid in the Philippines - Chosen Children Village
OUR WORK IN THE PHILIPPINES
Chosen Children Village has been providing shelter and care to special needs children since 1989. These children depend on their caretakers for their basic survival. Over the years, Wide Horizons has funded the construction of several residential cottages, a school, a rehabilitation center, nutrition center, and a clinic/administration building. The needs of this facility are ongoing.
In the coming year, Wide Horizons plans to provide Chosen Children Village with pedia beds and medical materials to complete the nurse's station in the newly built cottage for wheelchair-bound children with cerebral palsy and regular seizures. These beds and medical supplies will allow for appropriate around the clock medical care for eight children with special medical needs. The project will cost a total of $5,000.
