Humanitarian Aid in Russia - Vocational Training for Older Orphans
OUR WORK IN RUSSIA
Vocational skills are vital for orphans in Russia. Without marketable skills upon graduating from the orphanage, these children generally live their lives on the streets and are at high risk for human trafficking or even early death. The Nadia Fund was set up in memory of our former WHFC Representative in Russia to benefit older children in the Ufa region in an effort to give them a brighter future.
WHFC will provide 20-30 girls from the Zilair Orphanage in Ufa with two years of training and practice with hairdressing skills. This will provide them with a skill that will allow them to earn a living once they graduate from the orphanage. Additionally, they will be able to use their skills immediately by cutting and styling the hair of the 120 orphans living at Zilair.
