Humanitarian Aid in the Philippines

Nearly 6% of children in the Philippines are orphaned. Extreme poverty has led to the abandonment of many children, while religious stigma prevents many unwed mothers from parenting their babies. Widespread poverty has also resulted in a shortage of medical care and other necessary resources in orphanages. As is the reality in many developing countries, most orphans will never find homes through adoption. Wide Horizons is committed to providing institutionalized children with the care needed for them to not only survive, but to thrive. With U.S. dollars going such a long way in the Philippines, we are able to make a significant impact with relatively little money. Still, the needs are endless, but with your help, the benefit to children will be even more widespread.

Money provided through the WHFC Philippines Medical Fund provides needed vitamins, growth hormone injections, coverage of hospital stays, and more.

Chosen Children Village provides a home for children with special needs who would not otherwise be able to receive the care they need.
