We have worked in the Philippines for more than 30 years, focusing our efforts on adoption, child welfare programs and the sponsorship of abandoned children with special needs through Chosen Children Village, our long-standing partner organization.

Located in the cool, clean air of Silang, Cavite, Chosen Children provides a “home for life” for disabled children, who live together in cottages. This family-like setting, combined with attentive care and specialized services, help enhance growth and development for physically and mentally challenged children beyond what is often possible in traditional institutional settings. The complex also includes a chapel, school, clinic, rehabilitation center and a spacious, outdoor play area.
Education comes in many forms at Chosen Children and is aimed at fostering independence. Children attend class to learn how to tie shoelaces, press buttons and other simple tasks. Higher-functioning children are given special chores in the home, such as cleaning up after meals or putting away toys, tasks that help create a sense of belonging. Residents also receive physical therapy to enhance comfort, mobility and independent functioning.
Children enrolled in our child sponsorship program are among the neediest at Chosen Children Village. Many require round-the-clock care for life. Children of all ages are in need of immediate sponsorship. You can sponsor a child for $200 per year, which covers food, education and medical care. You will receive a profile of the child you sponsor, photos and progress reports twice a year, regular newsletters and an annual report.
