Humanitarian Aid: Child Sponsorship Programs

In many countries like Ethiopia, Guatemala, India and the Philippines, the needs of children are staggering. As a sponsor, your annual tax-deductible donation provides the unique opportunity to directly improve the life of a child. We know that sponsorship works as we have witnessed the amazing difference that it makes - one child at a time. Child sponsorship not only addresses the physical and educational needs of a child, but also contributes to family permanency, allowing children to stay with their families in the country in which they were born. Read more about each program or go directly to our sponsorship signup page.

Help Spread the Word

The further we reach, the more likely it is that a child begins the long climb out of poverty toward a more hopeful future. Please help by sharing our flyer with loved ones and your community.

The toll that AIDS/HIV, famine, war and extreme poverty have taken on a whole generation in Ethiopia is staggering. In communities throughout the country, it is commonplace for children to have experienced the death of one or both parents.

Children enrolled in the Guatemala Sponsorship Program are usually those who have remained with their birth families, but are living in extreme poverty. They generally range in age from 1-12 years and live in barrios in or near Guatemala City, usually in single-parent homes.

Thousands of children live in slum communities in India. Often they live in one-room, makeshift homes with large families. Their parents may have jobs as vendors or laborers, but rarely make enough money to pay for food and utilities.

Children enrolled in the Philippines Sponsorship Program are among 75 special needs children living in one of 10 family-style cottages at Chosen Children Village. These children will likely never be adopted and require around-the-clock care to provide for their basic needs.
