Humanitarian Aid

Now one of the largest and leading adoption agencies in the U.S., our "grass roots" beginning is still evidenced in the humanitarian aid projects we undertake. Wherever we can, we attempt to improve living conditions for children and their future. Members of our staff regularly travel worldwide and assess needs. Often these on-site visits result in important new projects that will make a supreme difference in the lives of thousands of children.

Examples of projects we have undertaken are:

• Installation of a heating and clean water systems in an orphanage that lacked one or both
• Renovation of institutional kitchens and laundry facilities
• Construction of badly needed medical clinics
• Underwriting the cost of life-saving surgery for a child
• Providing hearing aids for a group of deaf youngsters
• Construction of playgrounds at orphanages
• Providing support for staffing
• Providing clothes, toys, medicine and health care projects
• Holiday parties for children in orphanages who would otherwise have none
• Construction of maternity homes for unwed mothers
