WHFC's Mission

We are dedicated to helping every child, regardless of country or circumstances of birth, experience the security of a loving, permanent family.
Whenever possible, children should be raised by their family of birth. When this is not possible, adoption can give children the love, security and support they need to reach their potential in life. We have a special commitment to finding homes for children in immediate need of a family, including older children, those with special needs and sibling groups.

We are committed to providing humanitarian aid to benefit vulnerable children around the world.
This includes sponsoring impoverished children who do not have families or whose families are in crisis, providing orphanage support for children who will never be adopted, improving medical care for entire communities, and building schools to help children who would otherwise have no access to education. We encourage our families and friends to join us in this work.

We believe that adoption is a life-long process.
Adoptive families need specialized services before and after their children arrive home. We provide them with comprehensive preparation before their child’s adoption as well as post-placement supervision, counseling and education.

We provide objective, supportive counseling to help expectant parents make the best parenting plan for their child and themselves.
We help expectant parents understand the full ranges of choices available to them before they make a decision. Should they choose to make an adoption plan, we help guide and support them through the process.
