Our Philosophy

Adoption is a life-long process. We want to be available to help you now and at any point in the future. With that in mind, our staff has skills in a variety of areas to help you in different ways at different times. Foreign languages are spoken by many people on our program staff. Our social workers and adoption caseworkers understand how important every part of this process is to you and will do their best to make you feel comfortable along the way. We know that the questions you have now, before adoption, will be very different from the ones you have later on when your child is growing up. We are prepared to help you with adoption-related issues as your child reaches different stages in life.

Partnering With Adoptive Families and Friends

Helping out on a voluntary basis is needed and greatly appreciated. Being available to work on specific projects or talking with prospective families provides valuable assistance to our work. Among the ways in which volunteers at WHFC are utilized include:

• Board of Directors
• Board of Advisors
• Parent committees for our humanitarian aid fundraising events
• General humanitarian aid and events volunteers
