Wide Horizons began placing children from India in 1975, and has since placed over 240 children with their forever families. In September 2006, WHFC received its Re-accreditation Certificate from the governmental authority (CARA) that oversees adoption in India. This accreditation is valid for a period of five years.

The Children

The children available for international adoption through most India agencies are older infants, toddlers, school age children and sometimes sibling groups. Children may be placed for adoption prior to their 12th birthday according to CARA guidelines.
