Program Criteria

Marital Status: The Rwanda program is open to couples married for at least 5 years, with no more than 1 divorce each. Single, heterosexual females are also eligible to adopt from Rwanda.

Age Requirements: Married couples need to be over the age of 30, and singles over 35 years old. The government of Rwanda prefers that applicants be under the age of 50, however there may be some flexibility in this.

Other: Applicants should have no more than 2 children in the home already, have no major medical or criminal history, and must demonstrate financial stability.
