Children Available
WHFC is accepting applications for children age 7 and up only. Children of both genders are available for adoption in Taiwan. Most of the children who are available for intercountry adoption are older and have some special needs. They come from many different backgrounds, including abandonment, abuse, neglect and poverty. Some are orphans, whereby others have parents who are living. Parental rights, for any child referred for adoption, have been transferred to the local government while the child resides with the foster family or in the institution. Once when an adoptive family has been identified for a certain child, birthparents or guardians of the child will be contacted and will be making the decision on approving the referral. Parental rights are terminated once the court in Taiwan issues the final adoption decree.
