Extreme poverty in Cambodia is a reality for the majority of the population in this ancient country. Birthparents, children and orphanages have little access to the support or resources they need, which is why our commitment to this country continues even as adoptions remain suspended since December 2001.
Wide Horizons For Children has a direct relationship with Asia Orphan's Association (AOA), an orphanage that serves the needs of children from infants to 8 years old that have been orphaned or abandoned. The orphanage strives to provide proper nutrition, clean drinking water, basic medical care, basic education, and a secure living environment for the approximately 160 children under its care.

Wide Horizons continues to work with existing partners, in addition to sending agency representatives to Cambodia in order to identify new projects in desperate need of our funding. Once the suspension on adoptions has been lifted in Cambodia we hope to fund larger projects as well. Still, with adoptions suspended, your support is needed now more than ever. With your help, Wide Horizons can continue to respond to the urgent needs of children in Cambodia.
While the needs of children in Cambodia seem endless, with your help we can continue to make a world of difference. Please join us today by visiting our online donation page or contacting Lindsay Carver, Development Coordinator, at 781.419.0327 or lcarver@whfc.org.
