Since our beginning, Wide Horizons For Children has offered adoption services and program options for single parents. In our commitment to helping children find their forever families, our leading criteria is that we seek individuals who will offer the security of a loving, permanent home.
We currently offer many programs that present a viable option for prospective single parents. When we review various new country/program offerings, we seek to include options for singles. Our programs in Ethiopia and Kazakhstan are good examples of this.
It is important to mention that parent eligibility requirements are set by the country-placing programs, not by WHFC. Over the years, we have also worked with many other countries that offered programs for single parents including: Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Cost Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Lithuania, Nepal, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, and Vietnam.
