Search & Reunion
Wide Horizons For Children recognizes adoption as a life long process. For some, this process may include the adopted person's interest in learning more about his/her background information, and for others this may be a desire to search for and unite with birth parents. Birth parents too may want to search for the child they placed for adoption. In addition, birth siblings can look for each other.
Wide Horizons understands that for many, this is an important and meaningful part of the adoption journey. We also know that this journey requires maturity, preparation, and guidance. We have specially trained Post Adoption Counselors to assist individuals and families interested in pursuing information about or contact with members of their adoption triad. The adoption triad refers to the birth parents, adoptive parents, and adopted person.
