International Adoption File Review
What is involved in obtaining a file review?
The first step to having a file review is to either:
- complete the Request Assistance form. Once received, a social worker will contact you to discuss your interest.
OR - directly contact one of our PASE Social Workers listed below.
Before releasing any information to you, you will be required to send us a copy of your driver's license or birth certificate by mail, fax, or in person confirming your identification. Once this is received, a social worker will review your file for the information you are requesting and will provide this information to you by phone, email, or in writing.
How long will it take?
The process of a file review and release of non-identifying information may take two to three weeks. This is needed for the social worker to have your file retrieved from its secure, stored location, carefully read through and find the information you are requesting.
Fees
Wide Horizons For Children does not charge fees for a file search and release of non-identifying information. Instead, you may consider making a donation to one of our humanitarian aid funds.
