  • You have the right to legal counsel.
  • You have the right to designate your child's religion.
  • You have the right to receive financial assistance for pregnancy related expenses without the expectation of repayment should an adoption placement not be made.
  • You have the right to know the criteria used to approve adoptive parents and information about the adoptive parents that you choose for your child.
  • You have the right to copies of all documents you are asked to sign.
  • You have the right to receive information about the rights of adoptive children to obtain information pertaining to their birth families.
  • You have the right to request notification in the event that an adoption disrupts or your child passes away.
  • You have the right to update information in your agency file at any time.
